Fanspeak Fantasy Football: Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em Week 15

Fantasy Football Start 'em Sit 'em

Start ‘Em:

  1. Eddie Lacy, RB, Green Bay Packers

Lacy had a average week last week, but this week he should bounce back against the Dallas Cowboys.  The Cowboys defense have let up the 5th most fantasy points for opposing running backs.   Aaron Rodgers is still out this week so the running game should be in full force.  Look for Lacy to have a good game of at least 10 points.

2.   DeMarco Murray, RB, Dallas Cowboys

The other running back in the Cowboys – Packers game is the inconsistent DeMarco Murry, but he is a definite start this week.  Murray has been very productive the past couple of weeks and the Packers defense has been struggling.  The Packers have let up the 2nd most fantasy points for opposing running backs.

3.  Cordarelle Patterson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Patterson has on average been scoring over 20 fantasy points a game and this week it could continue.  Matt Cassell seems to have a connection with Patterson, and playing against the Eagles secondary, he could have a huge day.

4.  DaSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

The way that Jackson and Foles have been on the same page all year is very impressive.  The Eagles are playing against the weak secondary in the Vikings this week and the Eagles offense can exploit it.  Look for Foles and Jackson too connect on some long passes this week.

Sit ‘Em:

  1. CJ Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills

Any running back that plays against the Jacksonville Jaguars usually would be a start, but this week is a different story. The Jaguars defense as of late has been playing very well and has shut down opposing running backs.  It doesn’t help that Spiller has been very inconsistent as well.

2.   Bobby Rainey, RB, Tampa Bay BuccaneersBobby-Rainey-breaks-free-USAT-Images

Rainey has had very good success for his fantasy owners when he has played at home but this week is different.  The San Francisco 49ers are coming to town and they have not allowed running backs any room to score.  The Buccaneers offensive line is going to struggle against the 49ers defensive line.

3.   Mike Wallace, WR, Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are playing the New England Patriots this week and the last time the Dolphins played them, Wallace struggled.  He was limited to only 41 yards receiving, and the Patriots secondary has improved.  Wallace is not a consistent enough fantasy receiver to start this week.

4.   Victor Cruz, WR, New York Giants

If you thought the Giants receivers were inconsistent and disappointing this year, just wait until this week.  The Seattle Seahawks are coming to town after a loss to the 49ers, and they are going to make a statement on defense.  The Seahawks secondary is just too physical for the Giants this week, especially Cruz who will struggle against their size.
