0 solo 1 asst vs Ohio St....key component in a heavy defensive tackle rotation...A True Freshman All-American at Syracuse, now at Texas, Maraad is expected to heavily factor into the interior defensive line rotation...
Beane and I like our interior defensive linemen to be versatile 1-tech/3-tech guys. Add in “get home” ability with lots of sacks/TFLs to add to constant pressures. Beane’s DT archetype seems to be in the 296-320 lb range, and that’s Bear. Alexander was active in the 2025 whiteout 2-OT scouted win over PSU with 2 solos and 3 assists. He had a fumble recovery in the Oregon State game, also scouted, and 3 solos/1 assist in the Rutgers game. Alexander has traveled around, previously for the Georgia Bulldogs and the USC Trojans. I expect we’ll see at least one DT hear his name called in April 2027.

Weigh the community's read: Fanspeak Consensus rank, position rank, ADP, mock-draft volume, hype, and the NFL team each prospect gets drafted to most.
Maraad Watson and Bear Alexander are compared here on Fanspeak's 2027 NFL Draft data — body measurements, position-relevant college production, the community consensus big board, average draft position across thousands of mock drafts, and how often each prospect shows up in those mocks. Rather than one scout's take, the matchup reflects where the draft community as a whole values each player.
Consensus rank is the cleanest single signal: a lower number means the crowd boards the prospect earlier. ADP layers in mock-draft behavior, and mock-draft volume tells you which prospect the community is paying attention to. The stat comparison checks the winner of each metric.
