No scouting note for Lex Thomas yet — see the full profile for stats and stock.
Threw for 2,885 yards and added 431 rushing yards with eight rushing scores in his first year at Oklahoma. Transfer from North Texas. Led the FBS in passing yards last season (4,379). Electric throws on tape. Arm strength to access all levels, but decision making must improve. Very agile for his size and his release is so quick. Has a whip for an arm and isn't afraid to attack small windows. Mestemaker's pocket composure and anticipation over the middle are rare for a player with so little starting experience, and there is a foundation worth developing. His touch, post-snap processing lapses, and mechanical consistency all have room to improve, and how far he gets with those will determine his ceiling as an NFL starter.

Weigh the community's read: Fanspeak Consensus rank, position rank, ADP, mock-draft volume, hype, and the NFL team each prospect gets drafted to most.
Lex Thomas and Drew Mestemaker are compared here on Fanspeak's 2027 NFL Draft data — body measurements, position-relevant college production, the community consensus big board, average draft position across thousands of mock drafts, and how often each prospect shows up in those mocks. Rather than one scout's take, the matchup reflects where the draft community as a whole values each player.
Consensus rank is the cleanest single signal: a lower number means the crowd boards the prospect earlier. ADP layers in mock-draft behavior, and mock-draft volume tells you which prospect the community is paying attention to. The stat comparison checks the winner of each metric.
