We used automatic options to advance the run, including free-agent signings and the remaining draft picks. We inspected cut and trade previews without confirming those moves. Your decisions can take your team somewhere different.
Start with the team you know
Choose the team you follow. You probably already have someone you want to keep, a position that needs help, or a contract you'd like to move on from.
Start with the players already on the roster. Review expiring contracts and re-signing options, then work through cuts, restructures and trades. Read the cap hit, savings and dead money before deciding.

Fill the gaps in free agency
After reviewing the roster, look at where you still need help. Filter the market by position, review asking prices and decide where to make offers.
We used the automatic options for this part of the example. You can work through the market yourself and see what happens when you spend differently.

By draft day, you've already had a chance to reshape the roster. Do you fill a remaining need or take the prospect you like most?
