Featured User Mocks: NFC South
As promised, this week we are featuring our favorite user mocks for ALL 32 NFL teams! We’ll be posting by division with links to all the other divisions.
Here are a couple disclaimers on these mocks before you read them:
1) This is for FUN! And a tribute and thank you to all of you that have been using On the Clock to create your own mock drafts! So we decided to pick some of our favorites. So this is not what we are predicting will happen, just showing some good things you GMs out there were able to do with On the Clock!
2) People used various big boards so the rankings will change. Again, anything can happen in the NFL Draft but you will see players in various places on these mocks because different big boards were used.
3) Its not the same mock draft for all 32 teams. Why do you see the same player going 3 times in a division? Because these are 32 different simulations run, therefore a player can go to various teams depending on how their draft played out.
4) Some GMs used On the Clock regular and some used On the Clock Premium with trades, we used both to show the variability!
Enjoy and see Steve’s analysis on this division’s mock drafts below!

Atlanta Falcons:
-The Falcons don’t land Clowney here, but they shore up their weak offensive line and give Matt Ryan the protection he deserves. Atlanta gets two impressive defensive talents in this draft and both should make an early impact for the Falcons. Grabbing Sankey is another smart move by Atlanta, Steven Jackson didn’t make the impact they were hoping for last year so adding depth is smart.
Carolina Panthers:
-The Panthers add their new top receiver in the first round and if he develops quickly they could actually be stronger at this position in 2014.The next three picks are all offensive linemen in an effort to rebuild that unit. Later in the draft the Panthers add some defensive depth, particularly in the secondary.
New Orleans Saints:
-This is a really strong draft for the Saints. In the first round they add the edge rusher they were lacking a year ago. Next they find a high upside TE, that they can pair with Jimmy Graham to make their offense even more potent. Later the Saints add additional defensive help and depth on offense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
– The Buccaneers may have a tough time passing on a wide receiver in the first round, but Donald is an impact talent and he could fit well in Lovie Smith’s defense. Tampa struggled to get after the quarterback last year, and Donald is one of the best pass rushers in this draft. The Bucs solve their WR woes with the next two picks. Later in the draft they add depth to both the offensive and defensive lines.
