Could Oregon QB Justin Herbert wind up going No. 1 overall?
Former Miami Dolphins vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum made waves earlier this week when the ESPN analyst said he preferred Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert more than Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and LSU’s Joe Burrow.
“Of those three… Justin Herbert is built to last.”

Instead of crying out “Tank for Tua” or “Bomb for Burrow,” should fans instead be saying “Help for Herbert?”
At least one NFL draft analyst thinks it’s not out of the question for Herbert to wind up landing No. 1 overall. Herbert, 6-foot-5, 237 pounds, has passed for 2,329 yards, 24 touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 69 percent of his passes.
“… You can justifiably make the case Herbert has the least amount of downside risk of any quarterback who may be eligible in the 2020 NFL Draft; he’s the safest quarterback pick, though I don’t know he’s the most dynamic.”
