What are your early impressions of the college football season? What teams are those that should be watched and what teams look like pretenders?

USC is #1 in the AP Preseason Poll. Do you agree with this ranking?  Are you surprised by any of the other rankings?  

Joe Paterno’s statue was removed from Penn State Sunday.  What does this mean for Paterno’s legacy? Penn State Football? Will this help the university and victims move forward? Also what do you think of the 4 year bowl ban imposed on Penn State and the vacated wins? Was the penalty justified?
