Leigh Steinberg, Tagovailoa’s agent, told AL.com this his client will hold a 40-minute workout in which he throws up to 80 passes in front of NFL scouts and personnel. Steinberg said Tagovailoa would be healthy enough by April; Alabama’s pro day is in March.
“The (intention) there is the ball never touches the ground and I think he’s gonna blow away teams in that process,” Steinberg told AL.com.
He is not expected to participate in the Combine, according to various media reports.
Steinberg said doctors are “quite sure” Tagovailoa will fully recover from a dislocated hip and associated fracture that required surgery, according to the AL.com report.
