Has Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland moved into first-round consideration?
Add another offensive tackle whose name is starting to appear in the first round of various NFL mock drafts: Boise State’s Ezra Cleveland.
There weren’t many questions surrounding Cleveland coming into last week’s Combine, as he’s steadily risen up NFL mock draft boards. But if there were a few minor questions, most centered around his play-strength and his size.
Consider those questions answered.

A snapshot of what the 6-foot-6, 311-pound junior did during testing and agility drills, according to Mockdraftable:
- Finished in the 98th percentile among offensive linemen in the 3-cone drill (7.26 seconds);
- Finished in the 96th percentile in the 40-yard dash (4.93);
- Finished in the 94th percentile in the 20-yard shuttle (4.46)
- Finished in the 90th percentile in the broad jump (9 feet, 3 inches)
- Had 30 reps in the bench press, good for the 80th percentile.
“Based on the film, we already knew that Boise State’s Ezra Cleveland was one of the most athletic tackles in the draft class,” wrote The Athletic’s Dane Brugler in his latest three-round mock draft. Brugler has Cleveland going near the bottom of the first round. “But after seeing him work out in person and go through the agility testing, teams came away even more impressed than expected.”
Ezra is the No. 72 overall prospect in the latest Fanspeak-Steve big board.
Inadvertently posted this early, so whatever. You get this one early.
