UPDATE: Utah State’s Jordan Love makes decision official: He’s entering the draft

 Well, we can all stop speculating.

Utah State quarterback Jordan Love has announced he’s going pro.

There was speculation that the 6-foot-4, 225 pound junior could transfer to another program as a graduate transfer. Love made his announcement on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Love is the No. 52 overall prospect in the Fanspeak-Steve big board and the No. 27 prospect in the Fanspeak-Jake big board.

Add two more teams as potential landing spots for Utah State junior quarterback Jordan Love.

If he doesn't enter the NFL Draft, Utah State QB Jordan Love is contemplating a grad transfer, per source. Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Houston all possible destinations. No decision made. NFL Draft grade will weigh heavily.

Oklahoma would be an interesting destination, as the school has enjoyed great success with transfer quarterbacks in recent years. Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray won the Heisman and went No. 1 overall after transferring, while current Sooner QB Jalen Hurts was recently announced as a Heisman finalist.

As a graduate transfer, Love would be eligible to play right away. He could also de decide to enter the 2020 NFL draft.

When it comes to Utah State junior quarterback Jordan Love, only one thing is for certain: beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Love has received high praise from many prominent NFL draft evaluators all season, including The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, who ranks Love as the No. 15 overall prospect in his latest big board.

Love has plenty of detractors, too. Walter Football, for example, ranks him as the ninth-best quarterback prospect, behind players like Colorado’s Steven Montez and Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond.

Add one more uncertainty to the mix: Love might stay in school.

Or he could declare early and enter the 2020 NFL draft.

Or he could transfer to Texas Tech and be reunited with his former coach at a program known for slinging it around.

Media reports started to swirl over the weekend that Love could join Texas Tech coach Matt Wells as a graduate transfer. If Love, a redshirt junior, graduates this month, then he could potentially transfer to another college and play next season. Wells, meanwhile, was Utah State’s (and Love’s) coach before taking over the Red Raiders program.

Before Tech fans start cheering, Pro Football Network draft analyst Tony Pauline says a transfer to Lubbock remains unlikely.

“… During last week’s edition of our Q&A, I mentioned it would be a surprise if Jordan Love did not enter the draft and rumors were rampant he has representation lined up,” Pauline wrote during his live blog on Saturday.

However, Pauline was also among the first to report that, on the off-chance Love decides to forgo the draft, he would likely take the graduate transfer route. In that scenario, Pauline believes Tech would be Love’s primary target.

Love has passed for 3,085 yards, 17 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while completing 60.6 percent of his passes this season.

Fanspeak ranks Love as the No. 53 overall prospect.
