What do you see being the biggest storyline of tonight?

NFL Draft

1. Where will Marcus Mariota go?

-It’s likely the Oregon signal caller goes 2nd overall (though not guaranteed), but that doesn’t mean he’s a lock to go to the Titans. The Browns, Eagles, and Chargers all seem to be in the mix to move up, and I have to imagine the Jets are in the discussions as well. The last couple of times there was a trade involving the 2nd overall pick for a quarterback (RGIII and Ryan Leaf) it happened well before the draft, this could be more reminicisant of the Eli ManningPhilip Rivers trade where it could even go beyond the time of the draft pick. Would the Titans risk taking Mariota if they are only looking to deal him?

2. What happens to La’el Collins?

-This is no doubt one of the oddest draft situations in years as La’el Collins was widely considered a top 15 pick, but now sees his status in limbo due to just being generally connected to an investigation surrounding the murder of his ex-girlfriend. Though he has been charged or even considered a person of interest, recent issues such as Aaron Hernandez, Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson will cause teams to pause in selecting the highly rated offensive lineman. It seems unlikely he’ll be selected tonight, but how far could he fall?

3. Will we see any major NFL players traded in a deal that doesn’t involve Mariota? (i.e. Rivers, Peterson etc.)

-While there are definitely reports that some NFL stars are on the trade block, most of them surround the possibility of trading up for Marcus Mariota, but that doesn’t mean those rumors are only involved in Mariota discussions. If the Chargers truly believe they aren’t going to have Philip Rivers beyond next year, they could look to sell him off this year to the highest bidder even if it’s not as part of a Mariota deal. Adrian Peterson is another major star who could be on the move as well if the right deal comes the Vikings way.

4. What happens to the draft stock of Randy Gregory and Shane Ray?

-With some off the field, size and injury concerns many draft analysts have cooled on edge rushers Randy Gregory and Shane Ray. Do NFL teams feel the same way or will Gregory and Ray still be taking fairly early.

What do you think will be the biggest story of the night?
