And our Tuesday On the Clock update is done! Here are some of the shakeups this week:
- OT Cyrus Kouandjio fell out of the top 50, coming off a down season and the concerns with the medical it’s tough to see many teams taking a chance on him that high. He still has a role and can have a nice career, but chances are it will be shorter than you’d like to see from an early round pick.
- DT Aaron Donald and CB Justin Gilbert both moved up some in the first round. They’ve answered every question about them and their talent is just too good to ignore.
- WR Jordan Matthews jumped into my top 20. I have him as the number 3 WR in the draft behind Watkins and Lee. Matthews is a great combination of size, speed, work ethic and production (in the SEC no less).
- Some key re-signings and early moves that changed the team needs: Packers re-signing CB Sam Shields, Colts signing ILB D’Qwell Jackson, Seahaws re-signing Michael Bennett, Vikings re-signing Everson Griffin, Redskins re-signing Perry Riley and the expected deal of DE Michael Johnson to the Buccaneers to start free agency.
