Different Milwaukee Brewers Jerseys

Steve Shoup

When it comes to your favorite team, there are few things more iconic than a baseball jersey. This is a timeless piece of apparel that combines team allegiances and clothing. When shopping for Milwaukee Brewers jerseys, there are a few options. The choices can be overwhelming and confusing, especially when you factor in the cost.

Authentic Baseball Jerseys

Authentic Milwaukee Brewers jerseys are just like the ones players wear in games. They are made with a double-knit material and these jerseys are very durable. Patches, lettering, and locker tags are sewn directly onto the jersey. Unlike other ones, they will also come with sleeve patches and other team-specific patches. A quick way to identify authentic jerseys is by looking at the back. These jerseys will have the MLB logo sewn on the top center below the neckline. The latest MLB jerseys use Cool Base technology. This helps keep players cool during the hot summer games. This is a lighter material and there is a Cool Base tag on the jersey. A knockoff jersey won’t have all the tags and aren’t licensed by the MLB. However, they can be much cheaper than the real thing. An authentic MLB jersey can cost a lot more, but sometimes deals can be found when a player is traded. If you see one that costs a lot less, then it could be a sign it’s fake. It’s also important to note that jerseys aren’t sized by traditional sizes and are instead sized numerically.

Replica Jerseys

If an authentic jersey is too expensive, then a replica can be the next best thing. They are fully licensed but will cost less. They cost less because they aren’t the same quality. They are made with less durable fabric and letters and patches are ironed on instead of sewn. Unless you look closely, there isn’t that much of a difference and these still allow you to show off your allegiance to your favorite team.

Batting Practice Jerseys

These are the jerseys that are worn while players are doing hitting practice. They are plainer than authentic jerseys but still licensed. They will have the team logo on the front and newer ones have the Cool Base technology.

Throwback Jerseys

These jerseys are designed to look like ones players wore in the past. Each jersey is designed to the exact specifications of the original jerseys, including patches. These jerseys have a timeless appeal and can highlight fan favorites and past greats of the team.

Collectors should be careful to spot fake MLB jerseys, even if they could look legitimate at first look. If there is poor stitching, lack of proper tags, a suspiciously low price, or images provided aren’t very good, it could all be a sign of a fake.
