Longshots and Frontrunners for every NFL Award in 2025

July 13, 2025

NFL training camps are getting underway, which means the regular season is right around the corner, making it a great time to explore the latest 2025 NFL Awards market futures. This includes NFL MVP, Offensive Player Of The Year and Defensive Player Of The Year props.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is the current NFL MVP betting favorite at +550 odds, followed by Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen at +550 odds and Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow at +650 odds. Jackson has won the regular season NFL MVP twice in his career, while Allen is the reigning 2024 NFL MVP.

Burrow’s the only quarterback among these top three betting favorites without an NFL MVP. Despite the Bengals missing the playoffs in 2024, he set a career high in passing yards (4,918) and touchdown passes (43) last season. As a result, Burrow is among the most heavily bet players to win the 2025 NFL MVP.

Betting on NFL awards markets is a great way to get action for the entirety of a season at lucrative odds, so check them out ahead of Week 1. While NFL MVP is the most popular amongst sports bettors, there’s also good value to acquire in NFL Offensive Player Of The Year (OPOY) and NFL Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) futures.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is currently valued as the betting favorite to win Offensive Player Of The Year at +512 odds. He rushed for over 2,000 yards during his inaugural season with Philadelphia, averaging 5.8 yards per attempt and racking up 15 total scrimmage touchdowns. This led to Barkley winning this award for the first time in his career in 2024, following up a 2018 Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Other NFL OPOY favorites include Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase (+948) and Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (+1000) in the top three. Both players are seeking their first NFL OPOY award after logging career-high production in 2024.

Projecting NFL Awards markets can be difficult since the sport is riddled with injuries throughout the season. It’s important to utilize various betting tools to improve your chances of cashing a wager when targeting these futures.

This brings us to projecting the NFL DPOY futures market. In 2024, Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II won this award. He’s currently a longshot to defend his win at +3431 odds, with Lions DE/EDGE Aidan Hutchinson this year’s betting favorite at +674 odds.

The DPOY awards market currently has nine of the top ten betting favorites listed as edge rushers. Micah Parsons (+750), Myles Garrett (+769), and T.J. Watt (+897) are all shorter than 10-1 to win the 2025 NFL DPOY award.

If the Bengals can improve their offensive line unit by even a small amount, Burrow should be able to get Cincinnati back into a deep playoff run with big-time production through the air. He’s a great NFL MVP bet at +650 odds.

It’s going to be difficult for Barkley to play as well as he did this season, even behind one of the league’s best offensive lines in a run-centric scheme. If Burrow winds up winning NFL MVP, Chase will likely be the primary reason, so betting on the star wideout to win his first OPOY award at roughly 10-1 odds makes sense.

Elite edge rushers are currently the position oddsmakers expect to win the 2025 NFL DPOY award. Current favorites Garrett, Nick Bosa, and Watt have all won this award since 2021.  Surtain snapped that streak last season as a cornerback.

Hutchinson is coming off a major injury, but he was a mismatch and game wrecker nearly every time he was on the field for Detroit. Backing him as the favorite to win the 2025 NFL DPOY award at +674 odds is a good investment to make this offseason.
