Who Has The Most Chances Of Winning The 2025 Super Bowl

Steve O Speak

The Super Bowl is not only the biggest sporting event in the U.S. but one of the most watched and most followed in the world, drawing viewers from around the globe. The Vince Lombardi Trophy has been won by the Kansas City Chiefs for the past two seasons, with the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking the title in 2022 and 2021 respectively.

This year, the Kansas City Chiefs are, according to bookmakers, favorites to take it home again with the San Francisco 49ers not far behind them in the betting. The Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles also considered themselves in with a shout while the Cincinnati Bengals also look to be a good long shot for the win.

The Super Bowl is one of the most talked about sporting events in the world, and, apart from major global tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, it is also one of the most widely wagered events attracting billions of dollars in matched bets. With sports betting still not regulated in a lot of states, players conduct a lot of their Super Bowl betting online.

Bitcoin sports betting platforms have made it even easier for viewers to have a punt on the games. According to crypto expert Michael Graw, cryptocurrency betting platforms offer faster withdrawals and even greater anonymity, as well as access to otherwise closed markets.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls and three of the last five. They were also losing finalists in one year, meaning they have featured in four of the last five finals. The Super Bowl has never seen a single team win three finals in a row, but the bookmakers and bettors fancy the Chiefs to make this the year that changes that.

Andy Reid’s team boasts Patrick Mahomes with many believing that the Reid-Mahomes coach-QB combination is the best the game has ever seen. With their record, it’s hard to argue, and it’s certainly difficult to bet against them.

San Francisco 49ers

Although many believe this to be the year to see the first three-peat in American Football Super Bowl history, one team that will hope the sport has to wait another three years to see the feat, and the team most likely to prevent them, is the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have been losing finalists twice in the last five years, losing both games to the Chiefs, with the most recent loss being in last year’s event. Much will depend on whether Brock Purdy can continue his ascent as a highly capable quarterback.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens last featured in the Super Bowl back in 2013 when they beat the 49ers to take home the Lombardi Trophy. After a decade-long absence, the Baltimore outfit will be hoping to pick up another trophy in this year’s competition and they have started the season very strongly.

They feature a lot of people’s pick as the likely NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson, and the team is packed with young, talented players who are starting to thrive under the stewardship of head coach John Harbaugh. The Ravens were knocked out at the playoff stage, last season, by the Chiefs and may get the opportunity to exact their revenge this time around.

Detroit Lions

The Lions saw a highly suspect defense cost them a place from their first-ever Super Bowl last year, but they invested heavily in shoring up that defense.

While their new defense still has some way to go to be ranked among the best, the Lions have one of the best offensive lines in the game. They are second favorites to win the NFC, behind the 49ers, and are many people’s second or outside pick to take home the trophy this year.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are considered slightly longer odds than the Lions. Their late-season collapse last season means a lot of punters will be keeping an eye on the Eagles to see whether they can maintain form throughout the year.

Aiding their cause are the arrivals of Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio to run the offense and defense, respectively. Kelce’s retirement will obviously have an impact, but the Eagles still boast an impressive offensive line that will take some taming.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are the outside picks for a lot of analysts, commentators, and bettors. They have had a slow start to the season, as has become common under Zac Taylor, and this has seen their odds drift out, but that could just mean even greater value bets for the punter who looks outside the pool of favorites.

Joe Burrow is an exceptional quarterback and, if the Bengals can sort out their shaky defensive line, they still have a good chance to sneak into the playoffs. And, from there, the Bengals have a good, albeit outside, chance of picking up their first Super Bowl, having lost in three finals previously.

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have the unenviable record of being the team to have featured in the most finals without ever winning the Super Bowl. They lost in 1970, 1974, 1975, and 1977. They have been away from the final for a long time, and while they are considered an outside chance, at best, they do still have a chance of winning this year’s trophy.

Top of the National Conference, they have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, winning five from five, and have seen their odds shorten as a result, but they still represent decent value in the market.

Conclusion

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest betting events of the year, with billions of dollars wagered on who will take home the Lombardi Trophy. The Kansas City Chiefs currently sit as favorites and have, according to a lot of sportsbooks and bookmakers, seen the vast majority of money.

The San Francisco 49ers look, according to the bookmakers at least, the most likely team to spot the Chiefs taking home a record-breaking third successive trophy.
