Joshua v Fury off – all you need to know

Steve O Speak boxing

Boxing fans were thing that they were almost promised the biggest fight in boxing to make right now, but possible the biggest boxing match of all time, almost guaranteed to beat all box office records in history. However, even though negotiations have been going on for nearly 5 months, with contracts apparently signed and just the site deal needed to be arranged, there has been a massive twist in the tale and now we might not even see the fight this year. If you look at the odds it is so close in the betting and this further shows just how open this incredible fight is set to be to take all the belts. Fans are still using the latest PointsBet Michigan sign up code to enhance their betting experience and add bonuses to their selections. The big questions now is when and if it is now going to even take place and who can pull off the victory and land the odds for supporters?

Although we were due to see this fight this summer, the negotiations hit a massive stumbling block last money as an arbitration panel ruled that Fury must fight previous opponent Deontay Wilder next for a trilogy fight – something that we don’t believe anyone saw coming. Fury won the last fight between him and Wilder rather convincingly as he knocked him out in the 7th round having dominated the whole fight which is why many boxing enthusiasts have become frustrated with the whole situation as they believe history will repeat itself during the third fight.

It isn’t just the fans who have become frustrated with the whole situation, and Joshua has let his feelings be heard on Twitter explaining how frustrated he was with the whole arbitration situation. Although many do believe that the arbitration was out of Fury’s hands, many believe that Fury and company could have come up with an agreement with the Wilder camp to organise some step aside money.

And finally, Eddie Hearn believes that the entire fight was a lie the whole time and believe that Fury’s management and promotional team weren’t interested in ever cutting a deal. Hearn was told throughout negotiations that the arbitration wouldn’t cause a problem. Not only that but Hearn protested that he’d have thought that some sort of deal could have been cut with Wilder. This failed to materialise and it could now a lengthy wait to when we next get the potential opportunity to finally see the fight between Fury and Joshua.
