Anthony Joshua v Jarrell Miller
Joshua finally makes his awaited debut in the US as he defends his IBF, WBA and WBO World heavyweight titles on June 1st against the unbeaten Jarrell Miller. The bout is taking place in the American’s home city of New York, in the iconic Madison Square Garden. This is a positive career move for Joshua as he looks to further enhance his fan base around the world.

The 29 year old has quickly risen to being the biggest name in boxing following the retirement of Floyd Mayweather. He had a short amateur background, but a successful one, that saw him pick up the gold medal on home soil, at the 2012 Olympics in London. Since turning professional he has been faultless, and currently holds three of the four major championships in professional boxing, which is remarkable considering he only turned professional in 2013.
Joshua now has a professional record of 22 wins without defeat, with 21 of these via knockout. His key result in his career has to be as he picked himself off the canvas to beat veteran Wladimir Klitschko, in what was one of the fights of the year. Joshua is proving a popular selection for this upcoming bout with punters using the latest william hill code, in which he is around 1/8 to defend his titles.
Jarrell Miller
The American goes into the bout as the general 5/1 underdog, but rates one of the most dangerous opponents in the division for Joshua. He also had a limited amateur background with a record of 10 wins and 1 loss, prior to turning professional, as he had also previously been a professional kickboxer.
The 30 year old has a professional record of 23 wins and 1 draw from his 24 bouts, with 20 wins via knockout. He has yet to face a top level opponent, so this is going to be a huge test of his credentials against the most dominant fighter in the division at present. Miller is full of confidence, which sets up for a highly anticipated clash between the two undefeated fighters.
