Three players you must look to Acquire in your Fantasy NBA team

The 2016-17 NBA season got underway last week as 30 teams returned to action where they will be bidding to become the champions of the league in its 71st season. Cleveland Cavaliers go into the new campaign as the reigning champions after they were able to beat Golden State Warriors 4-3 in the NBA finals last season in an epic series.

With fantasy leagues now up and running and others set to get started soon, here are three players you should look to draft into your team this season.

Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors)

The big news this summer was the Golden State Warriors’ acquisition of Kevin Durant from Oklahoma City Thunder. With a dream team already in place in California, it was hard to see how last season’s NBA runners-up could improve, but the signing of Durant has certainly helped them do that.
Durant is considered as one of the best three players in the league along with his Warriors teammate Steph Curry and LeBron James. He has carried the Thunder since he was selected as the second overall pick in the 2007 draft.

In this dream team that Golden State has established, he could have the best season of his career and may well outscore anyone in the 2016-17 NBA fantasy league. The impact of the signing has also had a significant impact in the Bet365 NBA betting where the Warriors can be backed at 5/6 to go one step better this season with Durant in their ranks.

Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns)

Phoenix guard Devin Brooker was drafted by the Suns in the first round of the 2015 draft after one season in college basketball for the University of Kentucky. Booker finished fourth in the voting for the NBA rookies of the season in his debut campaign and became the first Suns player to be named in the All-Rookie team for the season since 2003.

The 20-year old from Michigan is likely to have another big campaign for the Suns and could continue to break records for the franchise. He has already started the 2016/17 season well, scoring 18 points in his side’s opener against Sacramento Kings.

Ersan Ilyasova (Oklahoma City Thunder)

Durant’s exit in Oklahoma opens the door for a number of other players to fill the gap left by the centre this season. Ersan Ilyasova was signed by the Thunder from Orlando Magic back in June and could be a fantastic bit of business for Sam Presti.
