Top Undrafted Players: Offense

Steve O Speak

QB:

  • Pat Devlin
  • Josh Portis
  • Adam Weber
  • Adam Forman
  • Jerron Johnson
  • Scott Tolzien
  • Taylor Potts
  • Jeff Van Camp
  • Ryan Colburn
  • Mike Coughlin

Analysis:

I was shocked that Devlin didn’t get drafted and think that he will be a great pickup for some team. While I don’t think there is a lot of other great talent in this group but I can see a couple of guys developing into quality backups.

Running backs:

  • Derrick Locke
  • Graig Cooper
  • Noel Devine
  • Damien Berry
  • Daren Evans
  • Mario Fannin
  • John Clay
  • Vai Taua
  • Brandon Saine
  • Armando Allen
  • Chad Spann
  • Nic Grigsby

Analysis:

I don’t think there are any stars from this bunch, but teams should be able to find some good value here. There is some decent change of pace backs and guys who can help out on special teams.

Fullbacks:

  • Henry Hynoski
  • Robert Hughes
  • Preston Dial

Analysis:

I was shocked that Hynoski wasn’t selected in later rounds of the NFL draft as I thought he was the 2nd best fullback. I think Hynoski is a starting caliber fullback and it wouldn’t shock me if he goes on to have a very productive career.

Wide Receivers:

  • Terrence Toliver
  • Dane Sazenbacher
  • Darvin Adams
  • Ricardo Lockette
  • Tori Gurley
  • DeAndre Brown
  • Jeff Maehl
  • Lester Jean
  • Armon Binns
  • Jamel Hamler
  • Jock Sanders

Analysis:

There is a ton of quality depth in this group and I’d be shocked if 7-10 of these guys don’t end up making 53 man rosters this year. There is a lot of size in this group, so teams that are searching for some redzone help they have some decent options.

Tight End:

  • Schuylar Oordt
  • Cameron Graham
  • Charlie Gantt
  • Zack Pianalto
  • Allen Reisner
  • Collin Franklin
  • Weslye Saunders

Analysis:

There isn’t a lot of strong talent here, but I think a few of these guys could end up as solid number 2 tight ends. I think 4-6 of these guys end up on NFL rosters with the two to really watch being Oordt and Graham.

Offensive Tackles:

  • Jarriel King
  • Kyle Hix
  • Adam Grant
  • Willie Smith
  • Richard Lapham
  • David Mims
  • Garrett Chislom

Analysis:

I don’t see any early starters in this group, but I think every guy I listed is capable of making a NFL roster. King, Grant and Smith all have some nice upside, and could be nice steals for teams.

Interior Linemen:

  • Kris O’Dowd
  • Zane Taylor
  • Justin Boren
  • Tim Barnes
  • Zach Hurd
  • Ryan Bartholomew
  • Alex Linnenkohl
  • Ray Dominguez

Analysis:

Teams should be able to find a lot of quality interior line depth in this class. Guys like Hurd, O’Dowd and Barnes could make early impact in their careers.
