MOCK DRAFT: Round 1: 17-32:Round 2:Round 3:Round 4: Round 5

132. Carolina Panthers: DE Cliff Matthews, South Carolina-

If Charles Johnson leaves via free agency the Panthers will be a little thin at DE, look for them to add late round depth.

133. Buffalo Bills: QB Pat Devlin, Delaware-

Buffalo finally lands a young signal caller to develop beyond Fitzpatrick. Devlin has some decent upside and could develop into a starter in a few years.

134. Cincinnati Bengals: S Robert Sands, West Virginia-

The Bengals need some help at the backend of their secondary. Sands has some big time upside for down the road.

135. Kansas City Chiefs (from Tampa Bay via Denver): OT Derek Newton, Arkansas State-

The Chiefs could use some depth at RT for if they don’t resign all their free agents.

136. Arizona Cardinals: WR Greg Salas, Hawaii-

Steve Breaston is possibly going to leave via free agency, and this is an excellent value pick.

137. Cleveland Browns: LB Quan Sturdivant, North Carolina-

Sturdivant is a top 100 player in terms of talent (maybe even top 70), but his work ethic and attitude will likely make him fall a couple of rounds.

138. Houston Texans: OLB Bruce Miller, UCF-

Miller was a DE in college who will convert to OLB in the pros, yet another piece for Houston’s transition to the 3-4.

139. Minnesota Vikings: CB Richard Sherman, Stanford-

Sherman gives Minnesota some depth at a position that has been troublesome over the years.

140. Kansas City Chiefs (from Detroit): WR Terrence Tolliver, LSU-

Tolliver is a good value pick here, and gives KC yet another wideout. Hankerson and Tolliver are a pretty good haul and upgrade for the receiving corps.

141. San Francisco 49ers: CB Brandyn Thompson, Boise State-

The 49ers need to add some talent to their secondary and Thompson is the best CB on the board.

142. Tennessee Titans: MLB Ross Homan, Ohio State-

If Stephen Tulloch leaves via free agency the Titans need someone who can replace him, and if he does stay Tennessee needs some depth.

143. Dallas Cowboys: G Zach Hurd, Connecticut-

Hurd is a good young guard who should be able to start early on at the next level. This is a nice value pick for Dallas and fills a pretty big need as well.

144. Washington Redskins: G Marcus Cannon, TCU-

Cannon is a top 50 talent if not higher, but he will fall given his recent diagnosis with Non-Hodgekin Lymphoma. All accounts are that it is extremely curable, and will take at least 12 weeks, which by the time he is back into football shape we could be into the beginning of the season. It’s a slight risky pick, but Cannon’s upside is such that even if he needs to be on I.R. this season it is worth it.
145. St. Louis Rams: DE Pierre Allen, Nebraska-

The Rams could use some more depth at the DE position, as James Hall is getting up there in age.

146. Miami Dolphins: G Ray Dominguez, Arkansas-

The Dolphins need to address their interior offensive line at some point during this draft and this is a solid value pick.

147. Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Cecil Shorts III, Mount Union-

Jacksonville could use some receiver depth here. Shorts is an intriguing prospect and should develop into at least a 3.

148. Oakland Raiders: OT Jarriel King, South Carolina-

The Raiders need to rebuild their offensive line in this draft, and King offers a decent amount of upside.

149. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Diego): RB Delonte Carter, Syracuse-

The Eagles are in the market for a backup to McCoy and Carter is a good complement.

150. Minnesota Vikings (from New York Giants): DT Cedric Thornton, Southern Arkansas-

The Vikings could use another Defensive Tackle and Thornton has excellent upside.

151. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: MLB Akeem Dent, Georgia

The Bucs need some depth at their Middle linebacking spot, and Dent should help out on special teams as well.

152. Indianapolis Colts: DT Sione Fua, Stanford-

The Colts defensive tackles are perhaps the worst in the league, upgrades are needed all around.

153. Philadelphia Eagles: FB Anthony Sherman, Connecticut-

Leonard Weaver suffered a major injury last season, and his career is in jeopardy. Adding an all-around fullback like Sherman makes a lot of sense here.

154. Detroit Lions (from Kansas City): OLB Doug Hogue, Syracuse

Detroit needs to keep adding talent to their back 7 in this draft class.

155. Washington Redskins (from New Orleans): ILB Mark Herzlich, Boston College-

Herzlich is such an inspirational story, and he offers the potential to return to the form that made him a 1st round prospect a couple years ago. He will need to move inside, but should do well given his hard work and instincts.

156. Seattle Seahawks: RB Allen Bradford, USC-

Seattle could use a backup running back and Pete Carroll could look to reunite with his former USC recruit.

157. Seattle Seahawks (from Baltimore): C Brandon Fusco, Slippery Rock-

Fusco has starting caliber upside, and this fills a big need for Seattle. While he was a small school guy, Fusco showed at the Senior Bowl that he can play with the big boys.

158. Atlanta Falcons: OT Byron Stingily, Louisville-

Stingily is moving up draft boards and he appears to have a lot of upside. Given the fact that 3 of Atlanta’s starting o-linemen could be free agents, adding some depth would be the prudent move.

159. New England Patriots: QB Greg McElroy, Alabama-

The Patriots could be looking for the heir apparent to Tom Brady (or another late round QB that they can trade in a couple of years).

160. Chicago Bears: DT Martin Parker, Richmond-

The Bears have some holes at Defensive tackle, making this a need pick. Parker is an up-and-coming lineman who should be at least a good rotational player.

161. New York Jets: CB Shareece Wright, USC-

The Jets could use a late round corner to supplement their starters. Wright could easily go 15-20 picks higher so this is a solid value pick here.

162. Pittsburgh Steelers: TE Lee Smith, Marshall-

The Steelers don’t have much backing up Heath Miller right now, and with more and more teams looking to emulate the Patriots 2-tight end success, I could see Pittsburgh looking for one as well. Now Smith isn’t the pass catcher of most of the TE’s in this class, but he is the best inline blocker. He should allow Miller to go down field more, and he offers a sure-handed, excellent blocking backup if Miller is ever injured.

163. Green Bay Packers: G David Arkin, Missouri State-

Green Bay needs to keep adding offensive linemen, as their line has shown a good bit of age (and some ineffectiveness).

164. Baltimore Ravens (compensatory): G Caleb Schlauderaff, Utah-

The Ravens could use some depth along their offensive line.

165. Baltimore Ravens (compensatory): FB Charles Clay, Tulsa-

With LeRon McClain on his way out the Ravens could use a talented starting fullback. Clay will help a lot in both the running and passing games.
