Best signings so far in the NFL
On October 31, the transfer window for the National Football League closed. All the 32 teams in the league had several new faces in their squads who either joined through trades, draft or came as free agents. The end of the transfer window meant the resumption of the core business of the league, the most important time for players as they battle for supremacy, fans as they support and urge their teams to fight for top honours and for bettors who seek to make profits from online betting.
We are in week 15 of the regular NFL season meaning in a couple of weeks the season will be over. Let us see which signings have had the biggest impacts since moving to their new clubs.
Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers)
Jimmy moved from the Patriots to the 49ers on deadline day and he has been immense in their rise since. The 49ers moved for Jimmy soon after their 0-8 walloping by the Eagles. Since his transfer, Jimmy has established himself as the first choice quarterback for the 49ers. Kirk Cousins is a few weeks away from returning to full fitness but it seems unlikely that he will take back the quarterback position from the impressive Garoppolo.
Marcel Dareus (Jaguars)
Dareus moved to the Jaguars from Bills with a bad reputation hanging over his top after accusations of off-field issues including substance abuse, which led to a four-game ban. His stock in the team had declined. However, it seems all he wanted was a switch to a new environment because ever since he made his first bow with the Jaguars, he has been excellent. Since his move, he is arguably the Jaguars best player and if he continues on this path, he can easily find himself in the books of the best defensive tackles to ever play for the Jaguars.
Duane Brown (Seahawks)
Exactly a year after making his NFL debut against the Seahawks, Duane Brown finds himself playing for the Seahawks. The Texans traded Brown to the Seahawks earning themselves in the process a 2018 third round pick and a 2019-second-round pick. Brown came to the Seahawks with a reputation for being one of the best left-tackles in the NFL and he has not put any foot wrong since his transfer. Brown’s impressive performances have already seen him emerge as a cult hero among the hawk’s fans.
