2017 NFL Mock Draft – Brad Clark Final 2017 Mock Draft
By Brad Clark:
April 26, 2017:
Round 1:
- Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
All the talking is over and the dust settles right where it started.
- San Francisco 49ers – Jamal Adams, S, LSU
After much debate and trade attempts, John Lynch goes the safest player in this class and finds an alpha for his D.
- Chicago Bears – Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
With Adams off the board, Chicago focuses in on Lattimore, Jon Allen and Solomon Thomas. They need a No. 1 CB and Lattimore’s ceiling is just too tempting.
- Jacksonville Jaguars – Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
I’ve went wire to wire with Leonard Fournette in this spot, not changing now.
- TRADE: Cleveland Browns – Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
Browns don’t want the risk of watching someone else take their guy, so they move up to nab the 13 game starter.
- New York Jets – Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
This one comes down to OJ Howard and Malik Hooker in my mind. Both game changers but they opt to strengthen the backend of their D.
- Los Angeles Chargers – Solomon Thomas, Edge, Stanford
LAC has to feel great about the way the draft felt. Teaming Thomas with Joey Bosa is going to be a nightmare for opposing QBs.
- Carolina Panthers – Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford
I so badly wanted to slot O.J. Howard into this slot but I’m going with consensus on this one.
- Cincinnati Bengals – Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama
Classic Bengals pick. Big time production slides down their way and they aren’t scared off by the shoulder.
- Buffalo Bills – O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
This was one of the toughest picks for me in this mock. OJ, Reuben, Haason, or Mike Williams. Tough one but McDermott witnessed first hand what a top flight TE can do.
- New Orleans Saints – Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
- Tennessee Titans – Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
- Arizona Cardinals – Haason Reddick, LB, Temple
- Philadelphia Eagles – John Ross, WR, Washington
- Indianapolis Colts – Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
- Baltimore Ravens – Derek Barnett, Edge, Tennessee
- Washington Redskins – Charles Harris, Edge, Missouri
- Tennessee Titans – Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
- Denver Broncos – Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
- Detroit Lions – Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
- Miami Dolphins – Forrest Lamp, OG, Western Kentucky
- New York Giants – Garett Bolles, OT, Utah
- Oakland Raiders – Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
- Houston Texans – Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
- TRADE: Arizona Cardinals – Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech
- Kansas City Chiefs – Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
- Dallas Cowboys – Adoree Jackson, CB, USC
- Green Bay Packers – T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
- Pittsburgh Steelers – Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan
- Atlanta Falcons – Takkarist McKinley, DE, UCLA
- New Orleans Saints – Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
