Rapid Reaction: Round 2- Picks 49-56
49. Kansas City Chiefs: OT/C Mitch Morse
-The Chiefs needed OL help and Morse is a versatile player with good athleticism, but this feels like a reach.
Grade: C+
50. Buffalo Bills: CB Ronald Darby
-The Bills could have gone a couple different directions, but went with another cornerback. This wasn’t a major need, but they could use a nickel back.
Grade: B+
51. Cleveland Browns (via Texans): OLB Nate Orchard
-Orchard isn’t a great athlete, but he’s a high-motor guy who generates a lot of pressure and sacks.
Grade: B+
52. Miami Dolphins (via Eagles): DT Jordan Phillips:
-Phillips is a monster NT and is a good fit next to Suh. The pair of DT’s should drastically improve the Dolphins run defense.
Grade: A-
53. Cincinnati Bengals: OT Jake Fisher:
-The Bengals grab another offensive tackle here (though he could maybe move inside) to further bolster their offensive line.
Grade: A
54. Detroit Lions: RB Ameer Abdullah
-The Lions needed a speed back but this may be a slight reach given his questionable ball security.
Grade: B
55. Baltimore Ravens (via Arizona Cardinals): TE Maxx Williams
-The Ravens jumped up to grab another target for Joe Flacco and it makes a ton of sense. Williams was the top TE in the draft and with their issues at TE they needed the help.
Grade: A+
56. Pittsburgh Steelers: CB Senquez Golson
-The Steelers go with a bit of a surprise here as Golson doesn’t have the size you are looking for with an outside corner, but he’s got elite ball skills. If he was 3 inches taller he was probably a top 10 pick.
Grade: B
