Indianapolis Colts Team Needs for 2013 NFL Draft
1. Outside Linebacker
2. Wide Receiver
3. Guard
4. Cornerback
5. Nose Tackle
6. Inside Linebacker
7. Running Back
The Colts addressed a number of their needs in free agency, and though they signed some outside linebacker options, none of them have a good track record as an edge rusher. The Colts need to find a guy to pair with Robert Mathis to take their defense to the next level.
Though Andrew Luck still has WR Reggie Wayne, and T.Y. Hilton proved to be a promising rookie, another weapon on the outside is needed to continue Luck’s development. Also on offense, further upgrades along the offensive line, primarily at guard would help protect Luck this upcoming season. Rookie running back Vick Ballard had a solid year, but he probably is not a feature back. Pairing him with another back would help add balance to the Colts offense.
The Colts could use further defensive upgrades at both cornerback, nose tackle and inside linebacker. While they could maybe be considered having passable starters, Indianapolis has long-term needs at all three positions.
