Detroit Lions Team Needs for 2013 NFL Draft
1. Defensive End
2. Offensive Tackle
3. Safety
4. Cornerback
5. Wide Receiver
6. Guard
7. Outside Linebacker
8. Center
The Lions lost both of their starting offensive tackles to free agency and retirement. While last year’s 1st rounder Riley Reiff will likely fill one spot the other is up in the air. Adding some interior linemen later makes sense as well since Detroit could have used some upgrades there.
The Lions are still searching for an edge rusher to replace Cliff Avril and should look early in the draft for an option. Though they’ve made some signings and re-signings, the Lions secondary remains a weak point. Detroit could look to draft both a safety and a corner early in the draft.
Despite the sheer number of resources spent on this position in the last 10+ years, the Lions could still use some help at receiver as they hope to finally find a true complement to Calvin Johnson.
