Mike Glennon Scouting Report
Mike Glennon Scouting Report
Measurables:
Height: 6’7”
Weight: 225
Arm length: 33 1/8”
Hand: 9 5/8”
40 time: 4.94
Pros:
- Really Good two year production as a starter at NC State
- Big, tall quarterback who is an ideal fit as a pocket passer
- Big time arm, arguably the best in the draft
- Experience in a pro style offense, has a lot of experience working under center
- Solid accuracy, particularly in the intermediate areas
- High character and a hard working quarterback
- Constantly looking down the field to make a play
- Scans the field well, and reads defenses well
Cons:
- Though he has a big arm, his accuracy gets shaky as he goes down the field
- Lacks good mobility and isn’t as effective out of the pocket
- Will be very scheme dependent
- Doesn’t have the cleanest delivery
- Will probably need a little development time
Overall:
Glennon is one of the more interesting quarterbacks in this class. In the right system he could be the next Joe Flacco, but if he’s put in the wrong system and isn’t allowed to play to his strengths he will likely struggle. Glennon has good size, a big arm and the work ethic you like to see from your quarterback. Accuracy though could be an issue, especially since he will likely be under more pressure at the next level, and he lacks the ability to move away from it. Glennon could sneak into the first round, but is really more of a 2nd round prospect.
