Offensive Guard Rankings – UPDATED April 12:

1. Chance Warmack, Alabama         

2. Jonathan Cooper, UNC

3. Larry Warford, Kentucky

4. Brian Winters, Kent State

5. Alvin Bailey, Arkansas

6. Garrett Gilkey, Chadron State

7. J.C. Tretter, Cornell

8. Hugh Thornton, Illinois

9. Omoregie Uzzi, Georgia Tech

10. Jeff Baca, UCLA

11. Earl Watford, JMU

12. Eric Herman, Ohio

13. Sam Brenner, Utah

14. Braden Hansen, BYU

15. Mark Jackson, Glenville State

 

Though not as deep as the Tackle class, the guard class is special in its own right, as Chance Warmack and Jonathan Cooper are two of the elite prospects overall the last 10 years at the position. Both are highly rated and should be top 15 selections. Add in Larry Warford (who is a 2nd round talent), and you have three guards who have Pro Bowl upside and a high likelihood of succeeding. Though the depth does thin out, there is definitely a share of intriguing late round picks.
