Updated 2013 NFL Mock Draft Round 1 | Round 1 Picks 17-32 | Round 2 | Round 3 | Round 4 |

Picks: 1-1617-32 Also Check Out Fanspeak’s NFL Draft Blog

17. Detroit Lions: CB David Amerson, NC State

-The Lions secondary is a huge mess right now and they could use a big corner like Amerson to match-up versus some of the big receivers in the NFC North.

18. Cincinnati Bengals: DE Sam Montgomery, LSU

-The Bengals need to generate a more consistent pass rush next year if they want to be a playoff team

19. Minnesota Vikings: CB Dee Milner, Alabama

-Minnesota has been impressive so far this season, and while there will be a push to add a weapon for Christian Ponder, getting a top corner like Milner makes a lot of sense. The passing attacks in the NFC North are brutal, and the Vikings still struggle on the backend.

20. Chicago Bears: OT Taylor Lewan, Michigan

Jay Cutler will probably holdout next year if the Bears don’t seriously address their offensive line. Lewan would be a great pick for LT and give them nice bookends.

21. Arizona Cardinals: OG Barrett Jones, Alabama

-The Cards are having a nice year, and should look to build on that success with a lineman like Barrett Jones who pretty much could start at any position.

22. Denver Broncos: CB Jonathan Banks, Miss. State

-Champ Bailey is getting up there in age, and with Peyton Manning now leading the Broncos they can expect other teams to pass more as they try to keep up, making the secondary very important.

23. San Diego Chargers: OT Oday Aboushi, UVA

-The Chargers need to upgrade their line to give Phillip Rivers time to throw.

24. Green Bay Packers: RB Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina

-It’s time the Packers address their lack of a running game, as they need to find some balance on offense. Lattimore has big play ability and would definitely be someone that defenses would have to respect.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers: S Kenny Vaccaro, Texas

-The Steelers could look to finally add their next star defensive back. Polumalu is always a little injured and Ryan Clark is getting up their in age, it could be time to look to the future.

26. Philadelphia Eagles: G Jonathan Cooper, UNC

-The Eagles offensive line has shown their lack of depth this season, without any pressing needs, the Eagles can add a guy like Cooper, even if he won’t start year one.

27. New England Patriots: DT Sylvester Williams, UNC

-Vince Wilfork is a force, but he can’t do it alone in the middle of the Patriots defense (or forever), making adding another tackle a smart call.

28. New York Giants: OT D.J. Fluker, Alabama

-The Giants offensive line has been declining in recent years and they need to add an influx of talent to protect Manning, and reestablish their ground game.

29. Baltimore Ravens: NT John Jenkins, Georgia

-The Ravens haven’t gotten what they hoped for from Terrance Cody, and it is probably time to add another stout nose tackle. Anyone who can make Ngata’s life easier is a good pick for Baltimore.

30. Atlanta Falcons: TE Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame

-It looks like the Tony Gonzalez era is coming to an end, meaning the Falcons will need to add another pass catcher. Eifert is the top TE and a nice pick-up late in the first round.

31. San Francisco 49ers: S T.J. McDonald, USC

-The 49ers don’t have many needs, especially on defense, but they could use an upgrade at safety. And adding the son of former 49ers All-Pro Brandon McDonald is the icing on the cake here.

32. Houston Texans: WR Terrance Williams, Baylor

-The Texans don’t have many glaring needs, but one area they should consider is another receiver opposite Andre Johnson. Kevin Walter is a solid slot guy, but they could use an outside threat with some deep speed.
