Picks 1-16, 17-32

1. Oakland Raiders- QB Tyler Wilson, Arkansas

   -The Raiders are doing a complete overhaul and could be well in the running for the top overall pick. While they just invested a lot into the quarterback position, none of them were picked by the current regime. While Matt Barkley is tempting, Tyler Wilson has the best potential of the two QB’s and should be the Raiders choice here.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars- QB Matt Barkley, USC

   -If the Jags are picking this high, then it is safe to say that the lack of receivers weren’t Blaine Gabbert’s issue. I can’t see Jacksonville passing up on the chance to take a top QB, especially if their is a GM change, since already the Owner, Head Coach and Offensive coordinator have changed since Gabbert was drafted. I don’t know if Barkley will ever be elite, but he should be a good QB at the next level.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- CB David Amerson, NC State

   -The Buccaneers filled a number of needs this past April, but one area they didn’t touch was cornerback. With Barber likely retiring and Talib in serious legal trouble Amerson would make a lot of sense here.

4. Minnesota Vikings- WR Robert Woods, USC

   -The Vikings added their LT in Kalil this past April, but could use a big play weapon for Christian Ponder. Woods is as big play as they come and should quickly develop into a number 1 wide out.

5. Indianapolis Colts- DT Star Lotuleli, Utah

   -The 2012 draft was about fixing their offense, which leads me to believe 2013 will be more defensive centric. Lotuleli has the potential to be a star NT and would help jump start the Ravens hybrid defense. He could play a similar role to Haloti Ngata for Indianapolis. One of the top pass rushers is a possibility here as well, but they can probably wait till the 2nd round.

6. St. Louis Rams- OT Chris Faulk, LSU

   -The Rams can’t expect Sam Bradford to develop properly if they keep trotting out a sub-standard offensive line. Roger Saffold might be a solid RT and Scott Wells is a good center, but that is about it. Faulk could come in and take over the LT job.

7. Cleveland Browns- OLB/DE Jarvis Jones, Georgia

   -The Browns added a lot of offensive talent this past draft and could look to find some defensive help next year. Finding another top pass rusher is key for their success.

8. St. Louis Rams (via Washington)- WR Keenan Allen, Cal

   -The Rams have a number of needs and it wouldn’t shock me to see them trade this pick back to pick up some additional selections. If they keep it, OL, WR, and OLB are the most likely options. Allen could give the Rams the number 1 receiver they are lacking. Add him to Quick and Givens from this past year (not to mention Pettis and Salas) and the Rams might have a pretty impressive WR corps.

9. Miami Dolphins-S Eric Reid, LSU

   -The Dolphins secondary is still a weakness, with their safety position particularly a concern. Reid has elite potential and could be a ball hawk in that secondary.

10. Seattle Seahawks- OT D.J. Fluker, Alabama

    -The Seahawks have used some premium picks on the offensive line recently, but it is still an area that needs addressing. Adding Fluker could allow Seattle to move Carpenter inside, which is a better fit for him. This is the type of move that can strengthen two positions.

11. Carolina Panthers-CB Xavier Rhoades, FSU

    -The Panthers my guess will be looking at one of four different position groups, offensive line, wide receiver, defensive tackle and cornerback. It’s hard to say which position will be the biggest need, but playing in a division with Drew Brees and Matt Ryan could make CB the call here.

12. Buffalo Bills- CB Johnathan Banks, Mississippi State

    -The Bills need to add more help in the defensive backfield and a playmaker like Banks could have an instant impact. This is probably a bit high for him, but I like his potential in this defense. He’s a big physical CB, who should excel on the outside.

13. Tennessee Titans- DE Barkevious Mingo, LSU

    -The Titans need to continue to add pass rushers and Mingo is the top one on the board.

14. New York Jets- QB Tyler Bray, Tennessee

    -The Jets are likely to witness another poor season from Mark Sanchez, what could lead to the Jets drafting a quarterback. Wilson should be able to start early, and would be a better starting QB compliment to Tim Tebow’s wildcat element.

15. Arizona Cardinals-OLB Sam Montgomery, LSU

    -The Cards will likely be looking at either an offensive lineman or a rush linebacker. With a stud pass rusher like Sam Montgomery still on the board I think that will be there call here.

16. San Diego Chargers- OL Barrett Jones, Alabama

    -The Chargers offensive line is extremely thin and will likely be among the Chargers biggest weaknesses in 2012. A guy like Jones is a great option because he can start right away, and is versatile enough to play any position..
