This year’s NFL Draft could be different than any other one we have previously seen, with the lockout looming over every pick. Teams won’t be able to trade veteran’s for picks, meaning quarterbacks like Kevin Kolb, Carson Palmer
, and Donovan McNabb are stuck with their respective teams, which is why we could see as many as 8 quarterbacks go in the top 3 rounds. In addition, the lack of free agency before the draft means that teams will need to fill their needs before the open market occurs (if it does). A team like the Washington Redskins can’t necessarily count out signing a free agent RT like, former Denver Bronco and Mike Shanahan draft pick, Ryan Harris. And a team like the Baltimore Ravens, that have multiple free agent corner backs and offensive linemen, might look to fill their holes in the draft instead of signing their own free agents. Despite the limitations with players, a prospective Rookie Salary Cap could make NFL Draft Day trades even more popular than before.
So we hope to see you right HERE all throughout the NFL Draft for our chat and your thoughts on how your favorite team did!
