Adding Exposure – Players I need more of this last month
We’re down to the homestretch and last month of Best Ball drafts. That means we need to manage our portfolios to make sure we’re happy with our player and team exposure when contests lock. That means pumping the brakes on some players and adding exposure to other players.
You can use Best Ball Overlay to see your player exposure, team exposure, playoff stacks, positions most drafted in each round, and of course, combinations. This is key as we manage our portfolio and exposures in this last month of drafting. I highly recommend Best Ball Overlay to manage your portfolio this month. Player Exposure to Add:
*Note: Most of these are after Round 4. Because it’s easier to push exposure in mid to late rounds. I obviously would like to get more of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Anthony Richardson stacks. But some other players and stacks will be easier to push.
-QB Kyler Murray – A second year removed from the ACL injury, I want more shares of Murray stacks this season. I think because I don’t have a ton of Marvin Harrison and Trey McBride has kept my Murray exposure low. But with or without his early stacks, I need more Murray in my portfolio.
-QB Tua Tagovailoa – I want to be over the field on the QB in a top offense, with one of the most creative play callers. His price is more than reasonable and this year you can actually backstack Tua with TE Jonnu Smith or a late Dolphins’ receiver. It doesn’t hurt that Tua has been on the winning BBM lineup two years in a row!
-RB Kenneth Walker – I had high exposure to Walker last year because of his explosive ability. I think I got a little scared off with the new coaching staff. And I also like to target receivers or tight ends in this range. But I still believe in Walker’s explosive ability and want to get more shares.
-RB James Conner – Right now I’m about with the field on Conner, but I want to be overweight Conner this season. Just like Murray, I like this offense and it seems from all reports that Conner should still be the workhorse volume RB for the Cardinals.
-WR Chris Godwin – With Godwin set to be used more in slot, I need more exposure to him. This is more a case of I like the other receivers more near him. But I see the upside case here and need more Godwin shares.
-WR – All Packers WR – The Packers’ wide receiver room is very crowded and tricky. Its hard to say which Packers’ WR is going to be the “one you need” or most likely to pay off their price tag. I have the most of Dontayvion Wicks just because he’s the cheapest. But I’ve gone on record that I don’t want to be super overweight any one Packers receiver and I want to be with the field or slightly above the field on all the Packers receivers. I love this offense and need more exposure to the passing game. I’ll be writing next about pushing team exposure, and the Packers are one team I want more shares.
-Mid-priced TEs – Pitts, Kittle, Ferguson, Engram – After a year of being very heavy on late-round TE builds, I’m mixing in more elite TEs this year. When you look at my exposure, I still like a lot of late-round TEs and still do those builds plenty too. The TEs that I’m trying to get more of are in that mid-range going anywhere from Round 5 to round 8. This is a fair price tag on all these TEs, who could easily end up being a top-scoring TE by the end of the season. The other thing I like about these four TEs, is all four are on top offenses.
