Start ‘Em/ Sit ‘Em for Week Fifteen

Fantasy Football Start 'em Sit 'em

Start ‘Em

Joe Flacco

Joe Flacco is having one of the best statistical seasons of his entire career. A lot of the reason for this is two solid running backs, the addition of Steve Smith, and an offense line that has drastically improved since last year. Flacco and the Ravens will be at home this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. For those of you streaming quarterbacks week to week, he is a good option.

Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram has finally proved all those people who were saying he is a draft day bust wrong. This season he has totaled over 900 yards and six touchdowns. It is extremely likely he will break the 1000 yard mark this week against the Chicago Bears. The Bears have been very generous to fantasy running backs this season. The only concern about this game is that it is in Chicago and not the comfy confines of the Superdome. Still, Ingram is a great player to start this week based on an easy matchup.

Joe Flacco is having the best season of his career, but he probably will not be lifting that trophy again.

Jordan Matthews

Jordan Matthews has come alive big time ever since Mark Sanchez took over at quarterback. He is up to 700 receiving yards on the season and that total is only going to get better. This weekend the Eagles will be taking on the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have really put their playoff hopes in jeopardy due to poor play on the defensive side of the ball. This means big things for Matthews and anyone else on the Eagles’ offense.

Sit ‘Em

Anquan Boldin

The 49ers are notorious for having bad games against the Seattle Seahawks. Though Anquan Boldin has been a fine receiver this season, he should not be in anyone’s lineups this weekend. It is hard to see him doing much against the Legion of Boom. Couple that with a struggling Kaepernick at quarterback and you have a recipe for a fantasy football disaster.

Matt Asiata

Matt Asiata may be having the season of his career, but that is no reason to get excited. Despite being the starter on a offense that has no true threats in the passing game, the Vikings’ running back has still only managed to post just over 600 receiving yards. The only reason he has had any value this season is because he has been able to find the endzone a number of times. However, his touchdown total is deceiving because he scored three touchdowns in one game. Fantasy owners are always asking “what have you done for me recently”. This weekend does not appear any better for Asiata as he is facing the Detroit Lions’ defense. The Lions have been one of the best in the league at stopping the riun this year.

Jason Witten

It seems like only yesterday that we all would have busted up laughing at the thought of benching Jason Witten against the Eagles’ defense. That is no longer the case. The Eagles’ defense has become one of the toughest in the league and Witten is no longer what he used to be. Though Witten has been very good at times this season, he has been very hard to rely upon on a weekly basis. The Eagles let up the fifth fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends. There is a good chance the Cowboys’ future hall of famer busts in week fifteen.
