Start ‘Em/ Sit ‘Em for Week Thirteen
Start ‘Em
Matthew Stafford and the Detriot Lions are going up against the Chicago Bears this weekend. So far this season, the Lions’ quarterback has had up and down weeks as far as fantasy football is concerned. However, this is one week where fantasy owners can expect a high number of fantasy points. The Bears are currently one of the top five worst defenses in the NFL.
Miami Dolphins’ Team Defense
The Miami Dolphins’ team defense is the equivalent of the Chiefs’ defense last season. The Dolphins have been capable of putting up some monstrous fantasy point totals in certain weeks and they have come against all sorts of offenses. This weekend the Fins will take on the Jets. The Jets have so many problems on offense it is hard to pick a place to start. The only thing anyone could say is the Dolphins’ defense is a starter for sure this weekend.
Josh Gordon returned to the field last weekend and from the looks of it he has not lost a single step. Gordon was able to burn the Atlanta Falcons for 120 yards. He has a favorable matchup this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. Though the Bills do have a strong defense, they have given up a lot of fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
Sit ‘Em
Getting traded to the Jets has been a nightmare for fantasy owners who expected big things out of Percy Harvin this season. This weekend the Jets will face the Miami Dolphins who have proven to be one of the toughest defenses in the game.
Matt Ryan has been a pretty steady quarterback this season. However, he has not had too many huge games since the first few games of the season. This weekend the Falcons are taking on the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Though Matt Ryan is a hard quarterback to sit, if it is possible, he should ride the bench this week. If he is not riding the bench, fantasy owners need to limit their expectations.
The 49ers are facing the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving. In the two teams’ past couple matchups, Gore has not been a major factor because the Hawks’ defense just simply overpowers the 49ers’ offense. With the 49ers switching to a pass first mentality, things do not look good for Gore this week.
