Start ‘Em/ Sit ‘Em for Week Ten
Start ‘Em
Any fantasy owner with Matt Ryan on their roster has been waiting quite a while for this week to roll around. The Falcons are facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the second time this season. Remember back to week three when the Falcon faced the Bucs the first time. The score of that game was 56-14. Ryan threw three touchdowns and posted one of his best fantasy days of the season. The Bucs defense has not changed too much since week three. Expect Ryan to have a very good game.
The Packers/Bears’ game in Green Bay Wisconsin is one of the absolute biggest games of the year. Eddie Lacy should be able to shine in this game. The Bears have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. With the cold conditions, the Packers will want to give Lacy the ball a lot.
Terrance Williams is really starting to come into his own. The second year pro has 426 receiving yard and six touchdown going into this weekend’s matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cowboys and Jaguars’ game is being played internationally. This is a big opportunity for Williams. Everyone already knows what Demarco Murray and Dez Bryant are capable of. This is the type of game that can turn a young guy into a superstar. The Jags are going to want to focus all their energy on stopping the run and shutting down Bryant. Williams will get a good number of chances to make a name for himself.
Sit ‘Em
Golden Tate has done a heck of a job filling in for the injured Calvin Johnson. Tate has already tallied 800 receiving yards this season. The problem for Tate is simple. Calvin Johnson is expected to return this weekend. Once Megatron is good to go, Tate’s opportunities to make a difference on the field are going to drastically decrease.
Despite returning in week nine from injury, A.J. Green was outscored in terms of fantasy points to Mohammad Sanu. This is probably because Green forced his return a bit. The Bengals’ staff was not sure the star wide receiver would be ready for last weekend’s game, but Green was determined to be on the field. Now the Bengals have to face the Browns on Thursday night. The short week is always a detriment to players coming off injuries. Expect Sanu to be the Bengals’ go-to receiver this weekend as well.
Sitting Matthew Stafford is not an easy thing to do. However, if you have a decent backup or there is a quality quarterback available on the free agency, it may be a good idea of start that guy this week. Stafford and the Lions are going to be facing the Miami Dolphins this weekend. The Dolphins’ defense has been amazing recently. In fact, they have led all team defenses in fantasy points scored in the past two weeks. This is not a good thing for Stafford and the Lions’ offense. Stafford is averaging just less than one interception per game. That kind of carelessness with the football will not fly this weekend.
