EJ’s Wide Receiver Sleeper Rankings

It’s time to get down with some wide receiver sleeper rankings! WOOP WOOP!       victorcruzdance

  1. Victor Cruz– New York Giants: Technically Cruz isn’t a sleeper now that he finally signed his contract with the Giants. But in most leagues you can scoop him up at a discount. The receiver class is so packed this year he is falling. But his stock is going to rise so get him while you can!
  2. Larry Fitzgerald– Arizona Cardinals: Who ever thought Fitzgerald would be a sleeper in his career? Well he is and is going to be a lot better than last year. I could have thrown better than the stable of quarterbacks that tried to get Fitzgerald the ball last year. With Carson Palmer coming to Arizona, Fitzgerald is going to improve dramatically. Palmer isn’t the best quarterback but he’s a big improvement over the prior.
  3. Steve Johnson- Buffalo Bills: I love Johnson! He’s been on my team every year for the past two years and has immense talent. He finally has a good quarterback in E.J. Manuel and the Bills added receivers to take all the coverage off of Johnson. He has been smothered and struggling with injury as of late. He’s healthy and the coverage should soften with Robert Woods on the opposite side of the field. Add a nice play-action game; you’ve got a sweet recipe for touchdowns.
  4. Cecil Shorts– Jacksonville Jaguars: The only thing holding Shorts back is the fact he’s playing with terrible quarterbacks. He will never reach his full potential if he can’t have at least decent passes. However last season he was still able to put up really good numbers. He reminds me of a young Victor Cruz. He has the talent and is steadily rising through the ranks in the league.
  5. T.Y. Hilton– Indianapolis Colts: If you got Hilton off the waiver wire last year you were a smart man. If you didn’t pick up on him… You missed out. Hilton is a great talent who is learning under the best route runner in the league in Reggie Wayne. When Hilton gets that part of his game coupled with his blinding speed, he’s going to put up big numbers.
