Quarterbacks (after QB7):

Purdy and Prescott really should be top 6 or 7 QB’s so it feels unfair to list them here, but given their rankings their ownership won’t be reflective of their upside. Smith and Darold are both adapting well to their new offenses, and have situations this week where they could throw a fair amount.

If you want to get cute, though, Williams and Dalton are two very interesting options. Williams has struggled so far, but the upside is clearly there. The Colts’ defense is just bad this year, so Williams could find some opportunities to get comfortable this week and be the QB that was a consensus number 1. Dalton doesn’t have an elite skill set anymore, but as we saw in his start last year where he threw for over 300 yards and multiple TDs he can still get the job done. The match-up is good and it’s likely the game script is favorable. He might see 10% ownership and that is probably generous.

Running backs (after RB14):

Running back is a bit more top-heavy this week, and I think there are plenty of great options to get both a starter and a Flex option from the position. There are still a couple “scroll-down” options that are usable.

Rachaad White didn’t have a great week 2, but he got banged up and faced a stout Lions defensive front. He now gets his easiest rushing match-up of the season, and as we saw in week 1, has plenty of upside in the passing game as well. Ford is in a similar situation where he gets plenty of opportunities on offense and now faces his easiest defense to date.

Two guys who haven’t gotten going yet, but could be in line for a good role are Zamir White and Swift. White hasn’t been too efficient and has gotten game scripted out of games too much so far. This week though he faces a porous Panthers defense, and the Raiders could be in the lead for most of the game. With Swift he’s been so bad to start the year, and the Bears’ offense has struggled as a whole, but this could be a get right game against the Colts. Indianapolis has been awful against the run, so this could be Swift’s chance for a big game.

Wide Receivers (after WR20):

A mix of big names in bad spots, guys with increased opportunity or young guys maybe stepping up, there are plenty of options for a viable 2nd or 3rd receiver looking down the list.

Amari Cooper is intriguing because he’s been close to some bigger production so far, and this is by far the easiest match-up he’s had. We know he has spike week ability and this is the environment where that could come.

Both Johnson and Thielen should see a massive upgrade at QB this week, which could make one or both fantasy valuable. Johnson will likely see more work, but he will also be higher owned. Either way its a solid match-up and one that probably won’t be owned as much as it should.

Taking advantage of the injury situations with the Rams, 49ers and Vikings are good ways to go with finding a lower owned guy. Nailor is my favorite target of the bunch as he’s already showing good chemistry with Sam Darnold, and with Addison likely out and Jefferson at less than 100%, Nailor could find himself as the focal point of the offense this week.

Tight Ends:

– It’s not a great “scroll-down week at TE, but there are a couple options that are pretty interesting. Schultz is the number 1 TE in one of the best functioning offenses in the league, that is likely to pay off at some point. Johnson didn’t have a target week 2, but that is in part because they had to throw so infrequently. In a tougher match-up there should be more targets to go around.

Assuming Ferguson is definitely out, Schoonmaker should be go way higher than this and owned at a much higher rate. So to get him in the situation that he’s in is a definite value.

My favorite scroll-down option though is Greg Dulcich. Denver is likely trailing this whole game, and it won’t be shocking if the Broncos have 40+ targets. Dulcich has gotten all the TE targets so far and is in a competitive 3rd on the team for looks. If he pops one into the end zone he becomes a massive value.
