OVERALL LINEUP STRATEGY AND SUMMARY:

STEVE:

This is an interesting week this week as there aren’t a ton of games that we feel will be real “shootouts” like we saw a week ago, but I do think we will see some points scored for sure. The most interesting game has to be the Cardinals vs Houston game as with Kyler Murray back the Arizona offense is much more functional, and their players aren’t priced up. With Noah Brown out and Nico Collins back for the Texans, that offense has plenty of value to go around as well. Though Houston’s defense has looked good this year, they are still young and getable so this could be the game that spikes in points.

Other than that, I won’t be afraid to target some of these top-end offenses even in potential blowout situations. Give me Miami, Dallas, and Detroit studs. Even Washington could also be a strong play in a blowout situation.

I’m not going to be afraid because one, I’m still not sold that defense can stop opposing teams. And two, that offense has just consistently picked up yards and is so close to putting up like a 42-point offensive showing. Maybe it’s this week in a statement game. If you don’t know who to stack Sam Howell with because he spreads the ball around so much, just go with Brian Robinson Jr. his RB. It’s an unconventional stack, but that will help with Robinson’s high ownership, and give you all of Washington’s offensive output in a game where Antonio Gibson will miss.

My Defensive play is the Lions this week. They look to be underowned with Justin Fields coming back and after giving up 38 points vs the Chargers. But Fields is probably rusty, and let’s not forget he was taking sacks and turning the ball over at an alarming rate when he got injured. The Lions have some playmakers on defense so I could see them having a big day, and being the low-owned top defense that tips the slate. Pair them with one of the Lions 2 RBs (coin flip which one to take), fade the high-owned Bears offensive skill players, and you have a game script that sets yourself up for a big tournament win!
