OVERALL LINEUP STRATEGY FOR WEEK 1 AND SUMMARY:
STEVE:
It’s an interesting week as there aren’t many games that really feel like we could see both sides play well and have a shootout. A lot of top QBs are in good spots, and it’s very possible a couple of them still get there, but without clear pushback, we are guessing a bit.
The one game that feels like there could be some legitimate pushback is the Cowboys vs Rams game. Both offenses have been good, but not great. While the Cowboys’ defense has been great at times, other times some teams have moved the ball on them. I like the idea of grabbing one of the Rams 2 top receivers and having Dak and one of his weapons as the primary stack.
Other than that I’m mainly going to find good spots and grab top players with clear volume. Some of the stacks might fail due to blowouts, but other times it might be the reason why there is a blowout. I won’t be forcing runbacks as much this week, just because I don’t really love a lot of game environments for some of these opposing offenses.
Yes, perhaps a Patriots player could score enough in a Dolphins stack or a Commanders player in an Eagles stack, but it’s just a bit too risky to count on every time. Unfortunately, neither team is condensed enough that we can count on one guy getting there with volume also. With just so much value on a 13-game slate, I don’t feel the need to force it this week. I’m not ruling it out entirely, but it’s definitely not the priority.
