Earlier in his career, against the University of Minnesota, Pritchett was ejected for a rare helmet-to-helmet targeting penalty on a defenseless player. Prior to transferring from the University of Alabama to Nebraska, Pritchett was arrested in late 2023 on a misdemeanor charge of knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease.

After briefly facing early career adversity and transferring rumors, Hinzman showcased notable resilience to become a cornerstone of the team.
