Standing at 6-5 and weighing 235 pounds, Helms showcases exceptional hands, range, fluidity, suddenness in breaks and double moves, body control, and tracking ability. and an ability to play the ball effectively in the air. His versatility makes him a constant threat in the passing game. While he must improve his blocking consistency, he can easily clear space for his RB with powerful blocks. Very flexible in his route-running, Helms is especially dangerous after the catch, using great field vision to turn simple plays into significant gains, reminiscent of Brevin Jordan's style at Miami. Despite PFF ranking the Sooners' receiving corps among the top 10 in the country, the redshirt sophomore faces the challenge of getting out of his head and earning reps on the field. I don't expect to see him in this draft.
