Kaden Helms has faced significant injuries since arriving in Norman, yet his athleticism allows Kaden to line up as either a tight end or as a wide receiver. Standing at 6-5 and weighing 235 pounds, Helms showcases exceptional hands, range, fluidity, suddenness in breaks and double moves, body control, and tracking ability. And an ability to play the ball effectively in the air. His versatility makes him a constant threat in the passing game. While he must improve his blocking consistency, he can easily clear space for his RB with powerful blocks. Very flexible in his route-running, Helms is especially dangerous after the catch, using great field vision to turn simple plays into significant gains, reminiscent of Brevin Jordan's style at Miami. Despite PFF ranking the Sooners' receiving corps among the top 10 in the country, the redshirt sophomore faces the challenge of getting out of his head and earning reps on the field. I don't expect to see him in this draft.

Kaden Helms and Trey'Dez Green are compared here on Fanspeak's 2027 NFL Draft data — body measurements, position-relevant college production, the community consensus big board, average draft position across thousands of mock drafts, and how often each prospect shows up in those mocks. Rather than one scout's take, the matchup reflects where the draft community as a whole values each player.
Consensus rank is the cleanest single signal: a lower number means the crowd boards the prospect earlier. ADP layers in mock-draft behavior, and mock-draft volume tells you which prospect the community is paying attention to. The stat comparison checks the winner of each metric.
2-17 (8.5) 1 TD vs Clemson. Joe Brady built the modern LSU offensive template that relies on athletic, pass-catching tight ends. Green is a dynamic hybrid threat who inherited that exact spatial role in the modern Tigers offense. Size, strength, and wingspan, jump ball ability and aggression, creates almost unfair mismatches with defenders in the passing game. Expected to thrive even more in the Lane Kiffin offense in 2026.. Toscano: "Trey'Dez Green looks like Oronde Gadsden II on steroids as a raw project, but needs another year to actually fill out his frame and technically develop after finally quitting basketball. ". Listed as a tight end but more than capable of lining up in the slot or split out as a wide receiver. Great hands and speed. Has proven to be very difficult to tackle and often requires more than 1 defender to bring him down. 176 of his 433 receiving yards came after the catch in 2025 and for his career, he has 230 yards after the catch. Named second-team All-SEC in 2025 after catching 33 passes for 433 yards and a team-best 7 TDs. Has already established himself as the LSU career record holder for receiving TDs by a tight end with 11. Set the LSU single-season TD reception record for a tight end in 2025 with 7.
