Earned PFF's highest grade among the Buckeyes' OL in the Texas game for shutting down Colin Simmons; Colin Simmons reportedly called Daniels "trash" between plays in the second quarter, and on the very next play, Simmons ripped Daniels' helmet off after the play was over, drawing a crucial 15-yard facemask penalty. The penalty extended a drive that resulted in the game's first touchdown, setting a physical tone for Ohio State's offensive line.

Weigh the community's read: Fanspeak Consensus rank, position rank, ADP, mock-draft volume, hype, and the NFL team each prospect gets drafted to most.
Phillip Daniels and Matthew McCoy are compared here on Fanspeak's 2027 NFL Draft data — body measurements, position-relevant college production, the community consensus big board, average draft position across thousands of mock drafts, and how often each prospect shows up in those mocks. Rather than one scout's take, the matchup reflects where the draft community as a whole values each player.
Consensus rank is the cleanest single signal: a lower number means the crowd boards the prospect earlier. ADP layers in mock-draft behavior, and mock-draft volume tells you which prospect the community is paying attention to. The stat comparison checks the winner of each metric.
McCoy played through a torn right labrum during the season, proving to be one of the toughest players on the roster. Thanks to his efforts, the Miami offensive line was named to the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll, which recognizes the best blocking units in college football. Over the course of the year, he allowed just two sacks and helped Miami rank first in the ACC for the fewest tackles for loss allowed. Versatility. Ourlads has him at RT, some sites have him LG. Personable, Mauigoa (Giants) is a good friend. Vs. Pittsburgh (November 29): McCoy saved one of his best regular-season performances for the Panthers. Miami rolled to a dominant 38-7 victory on the road. McCoy earned an elite 70+ offensive grade from analysts for his lockdown pass protection and powerful run blocking during this game. Sacks Allowed: Only 3 sacks yielded over 605 total snaps. Quarterback Hurries: Allowed just 5 hurries all year. Penalties: Flagged only 6 times. His grades show he is at his best when Miami establishes a physical, run-first presence.
