Ashton Daniels, formerly Ayomanor's quarterback, is a junior, known for his super athleticism and intelligence, though his style can be described as chaotic --early-Josh-Allen chaotic. In a 2024 scouted game against TCU, Daniels threw for 60 yards over three quarters, with 1 touchdown, but 1 interception (deflected off a helmet). His 2024 season reflects a balance in risk and reward, with TD and INT percentages of 3.7% and 3.2%, respectively, resulting in a 9-touchdown, 9-interception stat line. Throughout his career, Daniels has maintained a yin-yang TD-to-INT ratio of 20 to 17, highlighting both his playmaking abilities and volatility in decision-making. 3rd in Big Time Throw %, per PFF - Pac 12 QBs. He joined FSU ahead of the 2026 season as a transfer student, having previously played for both Stanford and Auburn. Known for his dual-threat capabilities, he brings significant starting experience from multiple Power Four programs.

Weigh the community's read: Fanspeak Consensus rank, position rank, ADP, mock-draft volume, hype, and the NFL team each prospect gets drafted to most.
Ashton Daniels and Drew Mestemaker are compared here on Fanspeak's 2027 NFL Draft data — body measurements, position-relevant college production, the community consensus big board, average draft position across thousands of mock drafts, and how often each prospect shows up in those mocks. Rather than one scout's take, the matchup reflects where the draft community as a whole values each player.
Consensus rank is the cleanest single signal: a lower number means the crowd boards the prospect earlier. ADP layers in mock-draft behavior, and mock-draft volume tells you which prospect the community is paying attention to. The stat comparison checks the winner of each metric.
Threw for 2,885 yards and added 431 rushing yards with eight rushing scores in his first year at Oklahoma. Transfer from North Texas. Led the FBS in passing yards last season (4,379). Electric throws on tape. Arm strength to access all levels, but decision making must improve. Very agile for his size and his release is so quick. Has a whip for an arm and isn't afraid to attack small windows. Mestemaker's pocket composure and anticipation over the middle are rare for a player with so little starting experience, and there is a foundation worth developing. His touch, post-snap processing lapses, and mechanical consistency all have room to improve, and how far he gets with those will determine his ceiling as an NFL starter.
