OVERALL LINEUP STRATEGY FOR EARLY ONLY?

STEVE:

For the Afternoon slate, it’s tough to get away from Jalen Hurts at QB and CMC at RB. With them locked in, it limits what else you can do with the rest of your roster. I do like Purdy as an option at QB, and if you want to hope that Mayfield in an easy match-up or maybe Flacco, from a price consideration work out you can go that way. Hurts though just has such a high ceiling/floor combo. Even an average game from him could still beat out the rest of the passers in raw points. Price will still be a factor of course, but that’s where the upside comes into play.

At RB McCaffrey is the top option, but I do think White and Kyren Williams are both strong plays. You can play all three together, but that doesn’t leave a lot for your WR position (esp. If you play Hurts). If you believe that Flacco can be at least average, Ford could be a fine option at RB given how explosive he is. Williams does have a tough match-up, but fading him and his usage is risky. He’s been almost a poor man’s CMC this season. White on the other hand has one of the best match-ups on the slate.

Between the top 4 WRs in the 49ers-Eagles game, Mike Evans, Adam Thielen, and Amari Cooper there are some great plays on this slate. For that reason and the tough match-up against the Browns secondary, I will be staying away from the Rams duo. Maybe they get more work this week, but I don’t want to bet on it at that price in a tough match-up. Cooper could be very intriguing if Flacco does add some life to this offense.

Paying up for Kittle is intriguing since he really can dominate this group, and his match-up vs a weak Eagles secondary is very tempting. If you don’t go that route Njoku is getting decent volume and Otton is a TD dependant cheap option. Defense will probably see most people gravitate towards the Rams or Cleveland. I like going Buccaneers or 49ers (especially in non-Hurts lineups).

MEG:

The afternoon-only slate is tough. We obviously want to get as many Philly/SF pieces in, but they’re all expensive. My priority spend is Christian McCaffery. I’ll make everything work around him. I like Purdy stacks with McCaffery and one other 49ers weapon, either Deebo, Aiyuk or Kittle.

I think the 49ers win and I’m playing short slate with that script. I don’t have interest in the Rams as I have too much respect for that Browns’ defense. I think that game will be a low-scoring contest, but some Browns pieces interest me, including Flacco if I want to pay down at QB and jam studs around him.

The Bucs have an easy matchup, so I see myself trying to get a couple Tampa pieces. But the priority is stacking up the Philly/SF game as that game could be similar to the Philly/Bills game last week.

In summary, I’ll have the most exposure to the 49ers/Eagles game, then a couple Browns and Bucs pieces is my core and play it from there.

Good luck this week!
