Underdog Battle Royale Week 10 Rankings

Quarterbacks:

1. Joe Burrow
2. Justin Herbert
3. Jared Goff
4. Dak Prescott
5. Geno Smith

Sleepers: Lamar Jackson, C.J. Stroud, Trevor Lawrence, Brock Purdy

I think Burrow, Herbert, and Goff are the top-tier, given their weapons, upside, and game environment.  The next group isn’t too far behind, and honestly if not for the risk of this game being an ultimate blowout, Dak Prescott had a great case for QB1. I also really like the two QBs from the Washington vs Seattle game. We need to monitor some injuries among the weapons, but if those guys clear, that is a ton of offensive firepower on the field.

I know Lamar Jackson had a huge week in this match-up just a couple of weeks ago, but the Browns’ defense is good.  I don’t love his case for a ceiling outcome in this match-up. I think others in this group like Stroud, Lawrence, and Purdy can all put up a 25+ point game in the right game script.

Running backs:

The top of the RB group is very good, and due to some mispricing, I think you can land two of the top 5 pretty easily. Currently, both Etienne and Mixon are being under-valued, making them strong plays given the usage they have had.

One situation to monitor is the Seahawks. If Walker misses the game, I’d bump Charbonnet up to RB6. So keep an eye on that situation as it could be a major swing given the lower ownership.

With Montgomery being back, I think he should be taken ahead of Gibbs given the higher TD equity. I also don’t mind taking a shot at James Conner just given that the Cardinals might utilize him a bit more, especially around the goal line.

Depending on how some injuries shake out, the receiver position looks to be pretty deep this week. Now this assumes that most or all of the limited/questionable players will end up playing, which right now is a pretty deep list. Currently, we need to monitor Higgins, Chase, Samuel, Collins, Lockett, Dotson, JSN, and London.

As it stands I think there is a bit of a cut-off after Lockett on this list, as those top 8 have the talent, game environment, and targets to really separate. I would be trying to target one of the receivers in the top tier and then one in the next nine as well (through Addison).

If you do need to go deeper for a Flex there are some intriguing options, with my favorite being Collin and Dotson (assuming they are healthy), and George Pickens. Pickens has been very frustrated the last couple of weeks, and I could see an effort to feed him targets early.

Tight Ends:

Sleepers: George Kittle, Evan Engram, Logan Thomas, Kyle Pitts, Cade Otton, Jonnu Smith

This is a strong tight end week despite not having Travis Kelce on the slate. LaPorta is coming off the bye, and the Lions are facing the Chargers this week in a clear potential shootout. Andrews smashed in this match-up earlier in the year, but the Browns have been very good overall defensively, so it might be tough to do twice in a season. Hockenson is on his 3rd QB of the year in Josh Dobbs, but the bigger concern is his health. If he is good to go, he’s worth taking a shot on.

As for the rest, you can make really strong cases for any of Schultz, Ferguson, McBride, Kittle, Engram, Thomas, and Pitts. Honestly, any of them could have been listed as 4th-6th. I think Schultz could have an edge, as the Texans could be missing a few receivers again, and may be playing from behind most of this game. Ferguson has had a big target share and TD% for Dallas this season, and though the game could get out of hand quickly, he might do enough damage early that he’s worth having.
