LINEUP STRATEGY:

STEVE:

This is a very interesting slate now with the Aaron Jones (RULED OUT) news, as it opens up even more value play options allowing you to jam in as many top plays as possible. Already at $1,000 or less, you had the Raiders’ top 2 TEs (Hooper & Mayer), their 3rd down back (Abdullah), and a potential big-play rookie (Tucker) on one side.

On the Packers’ side they already had 3rd rd rookie TE Tucker Kraft in case Musgrave wasn’t a full go, Wicks who had played more when Watson was out, but is probably the 4th WR, and now without Jones a combination of Patrick Taylor and Emmanuel Wilson. Sure all of these plays are thin, but in the right runout/game script they can get there, and if they allow you to get all the stars they can be absolutely worth it.

What could be unique tonight is actually totally avoiding that entire cheap area, and trying to find a build that focuses on a bit more balance. This could be a double kicker line-up, or a kicker and a defense, as there is definitely a case for either defense in tonight’s game. Of the two I like the Raiders vs a banged-up Packers OL at home. I also like grabbing both Carlson brothers in what could end up being a kicking contest if these offenses stall out like we’ve seen through much of the season so far. Both kickers have a big leg, so 50+ are well within their range, especially in a dome.

Overall though my focus is on having Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams in basically every line-up. I’ll be lower on Garoppolo as I don’t see a situation where he has to go off. Love and his pass catchers (Watson, Doubs, Musgrave, and Reed) will be my focus from the Packers. I don’t want to get too cute and try to chase A.J. Dillon again, or one of the mega-values. It just hasn’t paid off so far for either of these teams.

MEG:

Like Steve, I’m going to likely have Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams in most lineups. The Raiders’ offense is so condensed between Jacobs, Adams, and Jakobi Meyers. On the Packers side, I like getting access to Jordan Love and one pass catcher.

I don’t mind playing the kickers as Steve mentioned and think both are very live tonight to be in the optimal. I also may take a shot or two at Patrick Taylor for $200 and hope he catches a few passes to land in the optimal and allow me to play whoever I want in the rest of the lineup.

Good luck tonight!
