CHICAGO BEARS:
On the Clock Premium simulation summary
With only two picks in the top 150+ selections the Bears aren’t going to get impact through quantity in this class. What they can do is target upside and positional value. Landing a potential franchise QB at 14 is one way to accomplish both. Lance has the upside to be the next Josh Allen, unfortunately he’s pretty raw right now and he could take even longer than Allen did to hit his stride.
I also really like the upside of grabbing Melifonwu in the 3rd, he’s a nice corner prospect that Chicago could use since they parted ways with Kyle Fuller. The rest of this class is probably going to be back-ups at best, but there are some guys who can stick around in Hamilin, Morrissey and Kraemer. This class will end up graded almost entirely on Lance. If he pans out, this is a homerun.
