Pros:

• Good size for the position, capable of matching up with a wide range of receivers.
• Lightning fast, can cover a ton of ground quickly allowing him to catch-up to a receiver in man, or break on the ball in zone.
• Really top athleticism across the board and it shows up in his game film.
• Highly productive corner with excellent ball skills, which forced teams to try to avoid him when possible.
• Strong cover instincts, won’t allow too much separation.
• Solid in run support, not afraid to come up and make the stop.

Cons:

• Only a one year starter for Ohio State.
• Has dealt with major hamstring injuries throughout his career (which led to him only playing for one year).
• Arm length and hand size are a bit below average.

Overall:

In a really deep corner class, Lattimore has risen to the top and looks to have the highest upside and possibly largest early impact of the group. Despite only one year as a starter, Lattimore is pretty technically sound and doesn’t have any real glaring weaknesses to his game. He’s got the size, speed and athleticism to match-up versus number one receivers and develop into a shutdown corner.

The concern with Lattimore comes more from his medical standpoint than anything else. His hamstring issues are something that could be a nagging injury throughout his career and something that could cost him games most years. While not a deal-breaker, it’s a risk worth mentioning and something teams at the top of the draft need to weigh.
