PROFILE:  A four-time All-Big 12 honoree who started 51 of his 52 career games, including a streak of 41 straight to end his career… Helped K-State accumulate a 34-18 record, a Big 12 Championship in 2012 and four-straight bowl berths… In 2015, started all 13 games at left tackle en route to First Team All-Big 12 honors… Named a team captain… Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

On what it means to him to be invited to play in the Senior Bowl:

Means a lot. It speaks volumes about your hard work throughout the season. It’s an honor to be here.

On the best piece of advice he has gotten about the Senior Bowl process from either a former player who has been here or from his coaches:

Take it all in. Never take a day for granted. You know Tyler Lockett who plays for the Seahawks now. He went through the process last year. He just said to embrace the grind but enjoy the moment. Because, you know, a moment like this goes very fast and you’ll never get it back.

On what he feels is his best position at the next level:

You know, people have been saying guard and I feel very confident in that. I’m very comfortable playing guard but I’m also comfortable playing tackle. I know the league is a whole different animal and the D-ends are a little bit bigger, a little bit faster out there. So I’d probably say my main position is guard.

On what the main area is that he wants to improve upon as he goes through the draft process and prepares tp play at the next level:

I just want to be more physical and get more stronger in the upper body. You know, that’s a little bit of my weakness, but I’m going to work hard on that.

On what he is really hoping to showcase to scouts this week at the Senior Bowl:

That I can play against good players and that I’m a consistent player. That I don’t make too many mistakes.  I’m a very disciplined player and I use my technique to my advantage.

On who was the best competition he has gone up against, either a teammate in practice or a game opponent, that made him a better player:

This season, I’d say Emmanuel Ogbah (Oklahoma State). I just felt like he was an animal! He was a big kid, he was a long kid, he was an athletic kid, you know, everything you would want in a defensive end. I just think he kept me honest every time because he could do everything. And I think that helped me be a better player.
