29. New England Patriots- WR Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee

59. New England Patriots- DE Cornellius Carradine, FSU

91. New England Patriots- S Shawne Williams, Georgia

226. New England Patriots (via Buccaneers, from Chicago)- CB Nigel Malone, Kansas State

235. New England Patriots- DT Jared Smith, New Hampshire

-Given the Patriots lack of total picks they are very likely to trade back with at least one of their early round picks. If they stay where they are in the first, I like the potential for them to grab a receiver like Cordarrell Patterson. Patterson is a raw prospect, but New England would be the best fit for him. He could be the vertical threat and somewhat help in the screen game, but wouldn’t be needed in a major role early in his career. Later I see the Patriots bolstering their defense, especially along the defensive line and in the secondary, two areas that have some long term concerns.
