Final Buffalo Bills Mock Draft
Here is Fanspeak’s full, final 2013 Buffalo Bills Mock Draft:
8. Buffalo Bills – OLB Dion Jordan, Oregon
About the Pick: Jordan is one of those “freak” athletes who will find a place in any system, but he’s best suited as a rush backer in a 3-4. He has some elite potential, though is a bit unrefined overall. While he flashes in all areas of his game his strength is getting after the quarterback.
Steve’s Take: This is a tough spot for Buffalo and look for them to trade back. No other quarterback has established themselves as a top 10 pick, and the Bills aren’t a team that I would expect to reach for a guy here. While they could go receiver, that could be a slight reach as well. Realistically trading back is probably their best option, if they keep the pick I would expect them to go defense. Jordan is an excellent consolation prize for Buffalo as he gives them a potentially elite pass rusher to pair with Mario Williams.
41. Buffalo Bills- QB Ryan Nassib, Syracuse – Scouting Report
71. Buffalo Bills – S Phillip Thomas, Fresno State
105. Buffalo Bills- G Alvin Bailey, Arkansas
143. Buffalo Bills- TE Chris Gragg, Arkansas
177. Buffalo Bills- OLB Lerentee McCray, Florida
-The Bills may need to end up trading up into the end of the 1st round for Ryan Nassib, but there is no way I’d consider him 8th overall in the draft. Instead I would go with an impact guard or pass rusher. Here i think they go pass rusher landing a good one in Dion Jordan. Mario Williams is great, but he can’t do it alone and Jordan can be at least a situational guy as a rookie. Next I do have the Bills landing their man in Nassib. I do believe he’s a logical and good fit in Buffalo. Adding a safety in the 3rd will help make up for any loss of production with George Wilson gone. Later I see the Bills adding a guard and a tight to boost those positions as well.
